It's a LUAU!! Burnt Hickory at PCST, 6/15/23
Wear your hula skirts, Hawaiian print shirts & leis! Coconut bras optional for this luau of a last home meet! Don't forget to pre-order your whole pizzas please!
Events are now published in SwimTopia. We HIGHLY encourage you to download and use the free app. It lets you see events, times and heat sheets "live" during the meet. If you see an error, please let Coach Sydney know. Coaches work hard to Tetris events and relays into place and we will not switch events just b/c you don't like your events! ;) Heat sheets are also attached to this email (but do not show on the website!)
We still need a few jobs filled - we literally cannot run the meet without timers, place judges, etc. We'd be happy to sign off for volunteer hours for teenagers, scouts or personally thank your favorite cousin who is coming to the meet! Click here to sign up. The MOST important positions we need to be covered are:
- announcer (full meet)
- place judge (1st half)
- deck assistants
Team shirts have arrived! Pick them up from Jackie in the morning or from the volunteer check-in table with Kathy at the meet. We have a few spares for sale for $15!
Swimathon Money is due Friday morning! We're so close to our goal! Hit up your favorite aunt or do a couple of extra chores for the neighbor to help make it to our goal! Fill out this form or skip the fancy stuff and just Venmo the team, putting the swimmer's name in the comment section please! (@pcstswims or https://venmo.com/u/pcstswims)
See you on deck tomorrow at 4:30 pm; warmups for our team start at 5 pm. No parking on this side of Wade Green, park at Pitner Elementary and walk over please! Plan to stay to help clean up as a team after the meet. Lots of hands make quick work! After the meet we have a tradition of heading to the Waffle House down the road to celebrate.
Three heat sheets are attached. All athletes, boys only and girls only. Be prepared to sharpie up your athlete BEFORE they arrive on the deck at 4:30 pm tomorrow. Pro tips below...
- sharpie your child's name across their back
- sharpie event, heat, lane grids on thigh or forearms
- use black sharpie
- write before you apply sunscreen - sunscreen will make it smear (& help remove it the following day or at the end of the night!)
- find a veteran athlete or parent on deck to help if you need help
