PCST at Burnt Hickory Lakes, 6/24

Good morning families!
Practice is ON for tomorrow, Wednesday, 6/22.
Here's the preliminary info for Thursday's meet...coaches are doing lineups so make sure to sign out ASAP.
- Address – 5416 Thornapple Ln, Acworth 30101. This is a 20-25 minute drive from PCST without traffic & sometimes more than that during traffic so plan to give yourself plenty of time to commute!
- When should I arrive? – Plan to arrive by 4:45 PM.
- Where do I park? – Parking is available on the streets around the pool - please park only on the right side and note the NO PARKING signs. And, please NO parking on people’s yards. Feel free to drop off your stuff/kids and then go park if it makes things easier.
- Where do I go when I get there? – PCST will be on the left side of pool as you enter pool area. There will be a table for volunteer/team check-in next to the pool gate. We nay NOT use the tennis courts or playground.
- Volunteers – Check in with Kathy Ware at the check-in table.
- Can't remember what you signed up for? Click here. We have volunteer spots available so bring your neighbor, Grandma or high schooler we'll put them to work!
- Every family must contribute at least 4 meet halves to make the team work, so please pitch in!
- They will have concessions...details TBD.
- What events will my swimmer be competing in? – Line-ups will be published on Thursday late morning or early afternoon. Stay tuned & keep checking your SwimTopia app. There will be diving blocks at this pool so warn your little ones that we'll be experiencing something new! Coaches will have them practice during warmups to get comfortable diving from the blocks.
- What should I bring to the meet? - Lots of water, sunscreen & a hat - it's going to be another scorcher! You should also bring towels, snacks, a sharpie marker, bug repellant, and money for the concessions. We also suggest bringing items to keep your child entertained while waiting for their events. Items such as card games, books, and small activities are highly recommended.
- When does the meet start? – The first event is at 6:00 PM.
- How long will the meet last? – Probably around 4+ hours.
- Are we having practice on the morning of the swim meet? – Yes, we will have the morning practice on Thursday morning at our normal time. It will be lighter than normal.
