Patti Wilder: County Meet

The Patti Wilder State Qualifying Meet (also known as “county”) is coming soon!

The meet will be held June 18-19 at the Mountain View Aquatic Center. Mountain View has blocks and is the perfect time to set a new personal record. 

Cost: $7 per individual event per swimmer; $15 per relay ($3.75 per swimmer) paid to PCST via check or cash.

The Patti Wilder Schedule:

2022 MEET SCHEDULE: 

  • Saturday, June 18th: 10 & under swimmers 
  • Sunday, June 19th: 11 & up swimmers 
  • Warm-ups Day of Events: 7:30-8:55 am
  • Open Warm-ups will probably happen Friday evening as well, times TBD
  • Prelims begin: 9:10 am (meet will last approximately 3 hours, can leave after your event(s)) 
  • Finals begin 2-3 hours after prelims end (coaches will contact you) 
  • 5-6-year-old swimmers only swim once (timed finals). 
  • 7-18-year-old swimmers may qualify for finals if they are in the top 20 of their event during prelims.

We must submit our swimmer entries by this Friday, June 10 at noon, so you need to RSVP (instructions below) by this Thursday, June 9.

There are qualifying times for Patti Wilder that apply to age groups 5/6 and 7/8. Please double-check that your swimmer has met these before you sign up:

  • 25 yard Freestyle: 70 seconds or less
  • 25 yard Backstroke: 70 seconds or less

There are no qualifying times for ages 9 and up, nor are there qualifying times for breaststroke or butterfly events.

Here's what you need to do by this Thursday, June 9:

  1. Decide if your child(ren) will participate in Patti Wilder
  2. Determine if they qualify (refer to the couple of qualifying requirements, above)
  3. RSVP "attending" on the PCST SwimTopia website
  4. Fill out this form for each child who will participate:
    • Name of each child participating
    • Age of each child participating
    • List 3 individual events they'd like to swim in by preference (example - 100 IM, 25 free, 50 back, 100 breast, etc)
    • Your cell phone number in case Coach Sydney needs to contact you with questions

That's it. It's a long day, but it's a pretty cool experience! Talk to your coaches if you're unsure or have questions!
